Seven Days... But Who Is Counting?

We leave in just 7 days. Today we are putting the clothes in Minerva. We've pulled out enough clothes for the week. I'd been fearing this task, afraid we wouldn't have enough room for all we had planned to take. Luckily, it seems we are ok and have some room to spare. I am very happy about the room to spare as I don't want to load the trailer down to capacity and we don't really need too many clothes.

Being candidates for parents of the year, we had forgotten our son's birthday in August. It's his tradition to have his birthday at his grandparents so we can all bake at the swimming pool. Early August, Oklahoma.... 102.... need I say more? We had planned to be somewhere near Seattle at this point. Obviously, that is out of the question. So we divided it into two trips, the first is 2 months. This is probably a more realistic idea for a first trip. We should have a fairly good idea at that point if we like long trips.

Unfortunately, we had to save most of the stops for the second trip. Yellowstone, The Grand Tetons, Seattle, Montana, Portland. Does anyone know when winter comes to these areas?

Things left to move -
The washer and dryer

The fridge went goodbye just a few minutes ago. Craigslist is a wonderful thing sometimes. Soon it will be time for the final house cleaning. I can't wait until all I have to clean is a 27 ft Airstream. It really takes so little time to accomplish.

After lunch, which consists of fried rice including the remaining veggies from the fridge, we are off to Target to pick up a few more fabric baskets for clothes storage.

On winter in the northwest and WY, it comes pretty early. traveling I80 in early September I encountered cold and a lot of wind. Using http://www.accuweather.com/us/wy/cheyenne/82001/forecast-details.asp They have averages for weather conditions that should be helpful. Also any other state you will travel through.
