Acadia National Park

Acadia National Park, the scene of Junior Ranger Badge #20.  Yes, folks we have indeed acquired twenty Jr. Ranger Badges and for the first time Shawn and I didn't feel like we should have earned one too.  The kids quite diligently worked through the booklet, took their hike, interviewed their Rangers and took their oath with little to no prompting from us.... while sharing a pencil.  It was painless for us and that is not always the case.

Before we get to Acadia we dropped into Bar Harbor, Maine for some brunch.  It was the weekend before the big season starts and let me tell you it was busy enough for me to NOT want to be here next weekend.

When asked what the best part of their day was this was the kids answer -

From the summit of Cadillac Mountain-

Random photo from the drive down the mountain to the coast and our Ranger led program-

Pictures from the Ranger Led Program, along Ocean Path Walkway -

Somewhere along here we saw an Eagle in flight -

And then we had to rush down to the visitor's center, get our souvenirs, a few Jr. Ranger's sworn in before heading home for dinner.
