National Corvette Museum

So the boy and I went out to the National Corvette Museum, located in Bowling Green, KY.  This is not to be confused with the Bowling Green Assembly Plant (the GM facility located across the street, where all Corvettes are actually produced).  Anyway, we had a wonderful afternoon checking out the cars and the displays (keep in mind that I'm really a Ford guy, and not a huge GM or Corvette fan...but oh well).  Also, we'll be going to the factory tour shortly, but alas, there are no cameras allowed in.

Roy Orbison's red 1967 Corvette Stingray on display.

1955 Corvette Convertible...I love the front headlights

Awesome 1963 Split Window Coupe

A look at the "production factory" from the early 70's

This was a great Indy Car concept from the mid 80's

My son thought this looked like Speed Racer (which it does)

And he also thought this looked like a Aston Martin DBsomething.

Loved the 'Vette Indy Car from the 90's as well -- you had to be quite small to fit in there.
